HTML Font and Text Color – Depiction - Learn how to make your page more exciting by adding text and color.
HTML Goodies - Text Color Codes - The color codes, as I said above, are technically called hex codes. Use that term at your next cocktail party and impress the hostess. The codes are not too user friendly, and you'll need a chart to tell you what code makes what color. Well, gosh! I happen to have one right here
Devesite Extended Fonts and Color - The newest version of many browsers supports extended fonts, in which you can choose to have the document fonts be other than the normal one. This is accomplished by adding the FACE="font_name" attribute to the <FONT> tag. The most commonly supported fonts are Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, Impact, Comic Sans MS, and a few others. It is not recommended to make your page font dependent, because the older versions of many browsers don't yet support this feature.
W3Schools - HTML Fonts - The <font> tag in HTML is deprecated. It is supposed to be removed in a future version of HTML.

The HTML Help Guide - Fonts and Colors - There is one important thing to keep in mind when selecting a font type (or font face) to use on your web page. The visitor to your page must have the same font installed on their computer in order to see it. Otherwise they will just see the default font. For this reason, it is better to use the more common font types such as the ones that are installed with windows.
Theill - HTML Font Colorizer - The Color list shows all colors used in a colorize. If you want to add or remove some colors, click on '+' or '-' to the right of the list. It's possible to hold down the mouse cursor to add/remove multiple colors at once. To change colors, click the appropriate one and select a new color from the popup-menu -or- click 'Others' to view the standard Windows color dialog. If all colors can't fit in the Color list window, a horizontal scrollbar will appear. Move this scrollbar left or right to get access to all colors in the list.
